Social Networking

FACEBOOK

Your studio’s Facebook page is an invaluable resource for promoting not only the teacher training, but also your studio as a whole.  Below are some suggestions for promoting the teacher training via your studio’s Facebook Page.

1) Introduce the YogaWorks brand through the educational content we offer.

We have many social networking channels – YogaWorks YouTube Channel, Facebook, blog articles written by our teachers and students (see PR section of this site) and advertising campaigns that are content driven such as a recent campaign with Yoganonymous we called “Tip of the Week”.  There are currently over 24 of them & counting. If you type in “Tip of the Week” in the upper search bar, you will find them all listed in a digestible format. Here are a few examples:

2) Tag Us!

Everytime you tag us in a post, the YogaWorks social media team will ‘re-share’.  This is a great opportunity to hit a wider audience.

@yogaworks @yogaworkstt #yogaworks #yogaworkstt

3) Web Graphic & Facebook Banner
As apart of your collateral options you can choose to have a Facebook Banner and web graphic created. You can import this banner into your studio Facebook page and the web graphic can be used on Facebook posts.  These files are great to share with your ITI and local teachers share on their social media platforms.
4)  Announce a Sign Up by Profiling the Applicant.
Each time a student applies to the program, announce the student’s commitment in a post on your studio’s facebook page .Ex. “Jim Brown will be joining us in the upcoming YogaWorks 200-hour Training! (include a pic of the student).  Option to ask the student why they chose the training, why now, and they are most looking forward to learn
You’ll want to ask permission of the student and most likely they will be thrilled to have this personal investment acknowledged on your facebook page.

5)  Emphasize that SPACE IS LIMITED.

This excellent sample also lists how many applications have already been received, adding to the level of urgency for students to sign up (see below).

5)  Create a post introducing your Teacher Trainer (see below)

6)  Ask commonly asked questions followed up by a video response.

7)  Post interesting articles to get students excited about your training!

8) Mid-Training Facebook posts
Once your training is underway, post updates with pictures to bring in the rest of your studio’s community to what’s happening inside the training room.  This is a wonderful way to plant seeds in students’ minds about next year’s training.

9)  Profile Alumni: “YogaWorks Teacher Training Alumni – What are they up to now?”
Students go through teacher training for all kinds of reasons, and do incredible things with the knowledge they gain both of yoga and about themselves.  Send a warm email checking in with your alumni and ask if they would like to be featured on your studio’s facebook page.  (If they are teaching, this would be a great way for them to promote themselves.)  It would be ideal to have stories of those who are teaching and who are not teaching.  Let them know you would love to share what they are up to with your studio’s community.  You can be direct and let them know you want to generate excitement for the upcoming training and would love potential students to see how graduates are using what they learned. With permission, share an image (of them teaching, or smiling or laughing, or in a yoga pose, or stretching with their children… whatever represents what they are doing now) and just a few brief lines saying the alumni’s name, and what they are up to now.  We recommend having a consistent title each time you post about alumni, such as: YogaWorks Training Alumni: What are they up to now?
Post every other week, or once a week as the training gets close.

If your studio uses Twitter, please update this similarly, with even more punchy captions.
