Trainer Lodging

The search for trainer housing should begin as soon as your LOI has been signed in an effort to keep trainer housing costs as low as possible.

What is required:  After a long day of instruction, our trainers need a place to retreat and relax. They must have a private bedroom and bathroom in a clean, well-maintained, safe, smoke and animal-free environment.

Internet connect or WiFi is strongly recommended especially for trainings outside the United States.

What is the budget: We will reimburse the trainer up to $1500. This is a training cost and thus however much gets spent on housing ends up being shared between you and YogaWorks according to our split. Please work with the trainer to secure housing that is within this amount.

Suggestions:

Housing Exchange 1: Many times a staff member or friend will have an extra living space (a guest house, guest bed and bath). If there is suitable private bedroom and bathroom available in your home or the home of one of your studio staff, then we are happy to pay for cleaning fees.

Photos and/or video of the space will need to be sent to the trainer and the YogaWorks Teacher Training office. The trainer must also be allowed to stay or visit the place when he/she is at your studio for the info session.

Housing Exchange 2: You also might have a staff member, friend, or training student who is willing to give up their home/apartment for the duration of the training and stay with a friend/significant other.  In exchange, we would offer them $1500 off the price of the training.  In the case that they are not taking the training, we can pay them up to $1500 in exchange for their home (please discuss rates with your Program Manager).

Photos and/or video of the space will need to be sent to the trainer and the YogaWorks Teacher Training office. The trainer must also be allowed to stay, or visit the place when he/she is at your studio for the info session.

Subletting: This is what we recommend for the 4-week intensive format. The ideal is a furnished, clean and well-maintained one-bedroom or studio apartment within walking distance of your yoga studio. This needs to be a smoke and pet-free environment. The maximum that may be spent on a sublet is $1,500.00 USD/month. Photos and/or video of the space will need to be sent to the trainer and the YogaWorks TT office. The trainer must also be allowed to stay, or visit the place when he/she is at your studio for the info session.

Hotels. Since the current maximum that can be spent on hotel housing per training is $1,500 USD, this makes relying on hotels virtually impossible and they should be explored only if no other options are available.
