Grassroots

Grassroots marketing involves generating word of mouth through personal connections with businesses, and placing flyers around your community.  This is a great project to assign to your ITA

When to do this: As soon as you have your flyer created.

Where to do this: Please see the chart below for ideas of where to go in your community.  Please use a similar chart to design your grassroots plan and keep track of your efforts.  In addition to the chart below, here are some other ideas that have come up in recent discussions:

  • Acting schools/studios
  • Dance studios
  • Physical Therapy schools and offices
  • Spas
  • Chiropractors
  • School Teachers
  • Mentions in health club newsletters
  • Universities – not only flyering on campus, but also getting into talk to heads of departments such as such as fitness, health, dance, psychology, nursing, etc.
  • College Sororities – Many sororities have weekly meetings and some will allow outside local businesses to come in and make presentations.  Look online to find local chapters & email the President of each to ask if you can come to a meeting to offer them information about Teacher Training.  Ideally this is before the info session so they can get a free class & find out more directly from the trainer.
  • Military Bases (see below)
