Your Teachers

One of the most effective in-studio marketing methods is to get your teachers excited about the Teacher Training so that they will inspire their students to take the program.

How to get your teachers excited about the YogaWorks Teacher Training:

  • Announce that the YogaWorks training is coming to your studio at your staff meeting. Share with them why you’re bringing the training to your studio – the value you see available to your community.
  • Encourage them to attend the free Meet the Trainer event (which includes a YogaWorks class).  This is a key step in getting them excited and educated about the program.  Click here for more details.
  • If a teacher is 200hour Yoga Alliance certified, your teacher can retake the YogaWorks 200hour program at 50% off.  It is recommended that you  offer these personally and one by one instead of announcing it.
  • Share information about the local champion opportunity (ask us for details).

Your teachers can then inspire students about the program:

  • A Personal Invitation
    This is the most effective marketing method we have.  Students’ number one objection is that they don’t feel ready, even if they have been practicing for years.  Ask your teachers to scan the room for those who have a solid practice (it’s ok if they don’t yet do inversions).  Individually, have them approach a student and ask if they’ve ever thought about Teacher Training. They can mention what value they could see for them (whether they want to teach or simply use it as a tool for self study and to deepen their practice), and invite them to the info session.  If the Meet the Trainer event has passed, have the teacher direct them to grab a flyer or direct them to one of your informal info sessions.
  • They announce the teacher training at the end of class.This plants the seed in students minds about the training.  Shows that the teacher supports it.

Benefits: Students look up to their teachers as mentors in all aspects of their lives, and if their teacher mentions that this is something that will benefit them, they will be more likely to take the plunge and sign up.

When to do this: Educate your teachers right away about why you brought the teacher training to the studio, and what it is all about.  Talk to us about setting up a Skype call with your trainer especially for your teachers to ask questions and find out more before the info session.  When they ‘meet’ the trainer well in advance of the training, they will naturally be more enthusiastic & genuine when announcing the training in class, ex. I spoke with the trainer and she sounds wonderful!  I’m really excited about this program!
